THE LABOUR PARTY IN MIDDLEWICH

Middlewich is a town within Cheshire East with a 12-member town council. It has four Labour members.

Middlewich Labour Councillors have been organising a variety of campaigns that are rooted in community organising, addressing the issues and concerns of residents.

Middlewich Parks: Labour organised residents meetings to empower them to campaign for the modernisation of the town’s play parks, following years of underinvestment. From the initial meetings a residents group was formed, which has resulted in two parks being completely refurbished. The campaign continues on the remaining Middlewich Parks.

Bus Services: Labour has lead the fight against the removal of late evening and Sunday services, which has left the town cut-off from amenities in nearby towns, like railway stations, swimming pools and leisure centres. The council haven’t listened and a solution is still being sought.

Middlewich Labour Meetings: the Labour Councillors hold a monthly meeting for local residents and party members on the third Thursday of every month. It starts at 8pm and takes place at the Boars Head Hotel on Kinderton Street. Everyone welcome.
